Why Review Every Year

Plans Change. Your Needs Change. Your Coverage Should Too.

Staying on the same plan by default without reviewing changes is one of the most common Medicare oversights. Here's what typically shifts between plan years:

Premiums and Cost-Sharing

Monthly premiums, deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket maximums can all change from one year to the next — even on the same plan.

Drug Formulary Changes

Your prescriptions may move to a higher tier, be removed from the formulary entirely, or require prior authorization in 2027. A formulary review takes minutes and can reveal significant savings.

Provider Network Shifts

Doctors, specialists, and hospitals can leave a plan's network mid-year or at renewal. Confirming your providers are still in-network before January 1 protects your care continuity.

New Plans May Be Available

Carriers enter and exit markets each year. A plan that wasn't available in your county last year may now be worth comparing against your current coverage.

The Review Process

What Happens During a Coverage Review

A coverage review with Jeremy is a structured, no-pressure conversation — not a sales pitch. Here's what we cover:

Review Your Current Plan

We start with what you have — your current plan name, premium, and any issues you've experienced this year.

Check Your Prescriptions

We run your medications against 2027 formularies to identify any tier changes, coverage gaps, or lower-cost alternatives.

Confirm Your Providers

We verify that your primary care doctor, specialists, and preferred hospitals are in-network for 2027 under your current plan — and any alternatives.

Compare Your Options

If a different plan is a stronger fit for your situation, we walk through it side by side. If your current plan still meets your needs, we tell you that too.

Common Questions

Common Questions About the Annual Enrollment Period

Do I have to do anything during AEP if I'm happy with my plan?

Not necessarily — but you should still review your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), which your plan mails in September. It details every change to your plan for the coming year. If your premiums, drug costs, or network have changed, AEP is your window to act.

What if I miss the December 7 deadline?

If you miss AEP, your next opportunity to change plans is typically the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31), which allows one plan change. Outside of that, you'd need a qualifying Special Enrollment Period to make changes.

Can I switch from Medicare Advantage back to Original Medicare during AEP?

Yes. AEP allows you to disenroll from a Medicare Advantage plan and return to Original Medicare. If you want to add a Medigap supplement at that point, timing and underwriting rules apply — Jeremy can walk you through the specifics.

How long does a coverage review take?

Most reviews take 20–30 minutes by phone or video. If your situation is straightforward, it may be shorter. Jeremy will never pressure you to make a decision on the call.

Is Jeremy able to help with plans in my area?

Jeremy is licensed in Georgia, South Carolina, Illinois, Alabama, and Arizona. He works with clients throughout Coastal Georgia — including Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, and surrounding communities — as well as Hilton Head, SC.

What information should I have ready for the review?

Your current plan name and member ID, a list of your prescriptions (name, dosage, frequency), and the names of your primary care doctor and any specialists you see regularly. If you have your ANOC letter handy, that's helpful too.
