Medicare Supplement Plans

Also called Medigap, these plans work alongside Original Medicare to cover the out-of-pocket costs Medicare does not pay — giving you predictable, low-surprise healthcare costs.

What Is a Medicare Supplement Plan?

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) covers most healthcare costs, but it leaves gaps — deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance that can add up quickly. Medicare Supplement plans, sold by private insurers, are designed to fill those gaps.

With a Medigap plan, you can see any doctor or specialist who accepts Medicare — nationwide — without referrals or network restrictions. This makes it especially valuable for people who travel, see multiple specialists, or simply want the freedom to choose their own providers.

Most Popular Medigap Plans

  • Plan G: The most comprehensive plan available to new Medicare enrollees. Covers nearly all out-of-pocket costs except the Part B deductible.
  • Plan N: Lower premiums than Plan G with small copays for office and ER visits. A strong value for healthy enrollees.
  • Plan F: The most complete coverage available — but only for those who became eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020.
  • High-Deductible Plan G: Lower monthly premiums with a higher deductible. Good for those who want catastrophic protection at a lower cost.

Medigap vs. Medicare Advantage

The right choice depends on your health, budget, and lifestyle. Medigap typically has higher monthly premiums but lower out-of-pocket costs when you need care. Medicare Advantage often has lower premiums but uses networks and may have higher costs for complex care.

Jeremy Jordan will walk you through both options side by side so you can make a confident, informed decision — at no cost to you.
